Director/ Senior Product Designer
Design Filter’s owner and senior product designer was born in Taiwan and moved to New Zealand as a teenager, where she completed a bachelor’s degree and diploma of 3 Dimensional Product Design.

Meiling has worked for a variety of design and manufacturing companies, including some of the top point of display agencies in the UK/Europe and New Zealand. Over the course of her career she has gained considerable knowledge and experience in product and industrial design and manufacturing processes.

Meiling has completed designs for high profile retailers, including TESCO, Vodafone, Coca-Cola, Dulux, Energizer, Coty, Nokia, Westpac and many more. In addition to extensive point of display experience, she also has significant experience with sheet metal design, for such things as commercial kitchen fit-outs, and injection moulded plastics for consumer product design.

One of her designs was shortlisted and given an honourable mention in an internationally recognised design competition run by Designboom.
